The objectives and benefits of the games include: learning quick transition, maximizing movement, improved communication, quicker decision-making, and improved shooting, passing, and defending. Along with team essentials, these games are designed to incorporate behavioral attributes that include individual accountability, attentiveness, and communication. Whitehead includes both full-ice and cross-ice games that are designed to mirror actual game situations.
