In this presentation, Schaefering presents "skating basics" - essentially the ABC's of fundamental skating - that is applicable to any player at any age/level. Before delving into the technical aspects of skating, Schaefering begins this incredible presentation with Tips on Teaching and sharing positive teaching methods she has refined in some 30 years as a skating coach. With her "classroom" of three young players to teach and demonstrate, you will witness, firsthand, Schaefering's creative and easy-to-understand instruction, including verbal cues and word pictures, to assist a player in "engraining the feel" to develop a solid foundation for a career of efficient skating.
